Brunch Bound with 16th Colony: Holiday Collection

It's no question that I love clothing that not only makes you feel good when wearing the pieces, but also brings out a fun and free-spirited side to you. When heading to brunch, finding the ideal look to encompass the vibe that I'm looking for could sometimes be a challenge, but never with 16th Colony, my favorite SoCal contemporary line designed by Renee Rogers.

As a huge fan of the lines's previous looks for the warmer months, I couldn't wait to check out the pieces for the 16th Colony Holiday collection to plan to wear for my next brunch.

The Brunch with Friends

Sophia Mini Dress

The Sophia Mini Dress is best for a brunch with friends. I am personally a huge fan of mini dresses, and this one really stands out because it is a little looser fitting, but has a tie around the waist to really cinch you in all the right places. It's also really fun because of its scoop neck and the lace detail on its flare sleeves. I love styling this with a choker and chunky heels or wedges. It's a fabulous piece for a dressy-casual brunch that will be sure to turn heads.

The Lunar Wrap Dress

Yes, brunch dates are a thing nowadays. How do you dress subtle with a hint of sexy for a daytime french toast and mimosa sesh with your babe? With the Lunar Wrap Dress, of course. This is hands down one of my favorite dresses I have ever worn. It's not your average maxi dress - it has a slit up one leg and has halter ties with a bare back, along with a tie to wrap around your waist. If this doesn't get your date swooning, I'd suggest not checking back in for a second date. But, with this dress you certainly won't have to worry about that. Prepare for big heart eyes, both in person and in your text message thread.

The Brunch with Family

Lana Mini Dress

Brunching with family doesn't mean your wardrobe needs to run for the hills looking for something extra conservative. The Lana Mini Dress is comfy off the shoulder piece that emulates style and class. It is well aware of the tastefully sexy bare shoulders look, but its length is super appropriate for a nice meal with relatives.

I am so thrilled and humbled to be a spotlighted blogger in 16thColony's Video Feature series! 16thColony is an Orange County-based contemporary clothing line designed by Renee Rogers. Her pieces are so effortlessly beautiful - it's hard not to love all of them! 

We shot at one of my favorite spots in Newport Beach - Babette's (you make recognize it from my past brunch review here)! Being that Babette's is a very a whimsical, balmy brunch spot, I wanted to wear an outfit that truly emulated its chic ambiance in addition to my own personal style.   

During our shoot, I wore the Gibbous Slip Top and the Basalt Skirt, creating a serene, all-white look. I love how the Gibbous Slip Top is very tastefully daring, with a gorgeous low back. The high-waisted Basalt Skirt is just as beautiful, with slits along the sides and a belt to cinch the waist. When I walked through the restaurant, I truly felt magical as the skirt flowed gracefully in the wind.
