Happy Hour at Salt Creek Grille | Savory Bites & Half Price Happenings
I’ve been a huge fan of Salt Creek Grille since I was really young. With locations in New Jersey and California, growing up a Jersey girl I always dined at the restaurant with my family. Now that I’ve relocated to Los Angeles, I’m so happy to know that I can get the same delicious experience in my new home!
I couldn’t wait to hit Salt Creek Grille’s El Segundo location when I heard about its amazing Happy Hour daily from 4:00 pm to 6:30 pm in the bar, lounge and garden.
My friend Marisa from home had just flown in for a visit, and to kick off her trip we headed to Salt Creek Grille to try a bunch of the delicious appetizers and drinks on the menu.
I started with the Blood Orange Margarita, a festive blend of Herradura Silver Tequila, blood orange juice, fresh lime and agave with a salt rim. I’m a tequila girl, so this was a total treat for me!
Marisa started with The Boss, which consisted of prosecco, peach schnapps, PAMA Pomegranate Liqeur and lemon peel. A bubbly and peachy thirst quencher!
We both then tried The Paloma, which was incredibly fresh and tart! The concoction consisted of Herradura Reposado Tequila, fresh grapefruit, fresh lime, agave, and candied grapefruit, served up. This was out of this world! My favorite combination is tequila and grapefruit and it was so evident that it was made fresh from scratch.
On to the apps!
We of course started with the Warm French Loaf which was served fluffy and warm with roasted garlic, melted butter and Asiago.
Then we tried the Stuffed Jumbo Shrimp, a delectable savory dish! It was horseradish stuffed, bacon-wrapped and came with a chipotle honey dipping sauce. This was so freaking good! It had a bit of crunch from the bacon and a hint of sweet from the honey.
Following that, we got some delicious sliders! Can't go wrong with those. They were so juicy and full of flavor!
We were so excited to dig ino the Ahi Tuna Stack. As huge fans of anything in the sushi family, we were dying to try this the minute we saw it on the menu. It came just as it said it would – in a tower of stacked tuna and avocado! Oh how delightful this was. It was served sashimi style with avocado, cucumber, wasabi and ginger soy. This was a total favorite. My mouth is watering just writing about it!
We left a teeny bit more room for the Risotto & Goat Cheese “Beignets.” These were just the perfect combination of satisfyingly crunchy goodness! It was made with Arborio rice, black truffles, Asiago, goat cheese, roasted tomato and red bell pepper sauce. I loved the Italian inspiration behind this! The beignets melted in your mouth and the sauce was the perfect touch to add flavor.
We had such a nice time. I can’t wait to come back again! Another amazing thing about Salt Creek Grille? All of the specials that go on DAILY!
Mondays: Half off select bottles of wine
Tuesdays: Half off select beers on draft
Wednesdays: Half off wines by the glass
Thursdays: Half off specialty martinis
A reason to head to Salt Creek Grille all the time!
