My Favorite Rosé Wines to Celebrate National Rosé Day
It's one of my favorite days of the year again... National Rosé Day! For those of you that didn't know, it's observed annually on the second Saturday of June. In the brunching world, it's always a day to drink the pink, but the fact that there's a holiday surrounding the wine gives every avid bruncher (like myself) all the more reason to #RoséAllDay!
Rosé is by far my favorite kind of wine to drink simply because it's so refreshing and gives me all the summertime feels no matter when I'm drinking it. Fun fact: is probably the oldest known wine, dating back to 600 B.C. Talk about a history lesson!
To celebrate the holiday, I've rounded up a few of my favorite rosé wines to celebrate. Cheers!
VieVité Rose
Origin: AOP Côte de Provence
With a beautiful translucent pink hue, VieVité exudes the colors of a true Côtes de Provence rosé wine. On the nose, an expression of ripe tropical fruit is balanced with a pleasant bouquet of white flowers and a discreet touch of spice. On the palate, well-structured fruit and balanced acidity creates a crisp and delicate finish.
Bodvár Rosé
Origin: Côtes de Provence, France
Bodvár House of Rosés collection:
· N°1 - This pearly sparkling Rosé is dry, fresh and fruity with smooth notes of red berries
· N°5 - The heart of Bodvar, this wine is pale in color with an aroma of citrus and white flowers as well as exotic fruits
· N°7 - Dry, fresh and elegant with a deliciously intensive scent of raspberries, orange and citrus
Bolla Sparkling Rosé
Origin: Select hillside vineyards of Trevigiano.
Light pink in color, Bolla Sparkling Rosé offers a powerful floral bouquet, with fine persistent perlage and a fresh, fruity flavor.
Origin: Hillside vineyards in the southern part of Tuscany.
Centine Rosé is intense pink in color. Fresh bouquet with hints of woodland berries. Dry with rich berry flavors, well structured with a long crisp, clean finish.
Origin: Rapel Valley, Chile
Natura Rosé is bright light pink in color with intense fruity aromas, such as cherry and black currant. Good body, silky and elegant on the palate. Tremendously fresh, fruity, and balanced. Delicate and easy to drink.
